im in the mood for some nice rocking out. plus my band and i like to headbang like crazy at practices and we want some new material. i have a tune in my music collection, the title is "sum41greendayblink182mestgoodcharlottegoldfinger" im pretty sure its not every of those bands, but i cant really tell which one/s it is. the lyrics go: "what can one man do? why cant we look this through? one man from the start, and one man, without a heart, i feel so useless, am i? no help, why should i try?...etc." its a punk rock tune, quick, a little thrashy. sounds like something that could have been made up in a jam session maybe. its just really bugging me that i dont know who it is! can anyone help a punk out? =) cheers! lol, i tried that. no luck..?

I'm looking for a tune I heard on a jukebox in a restaurant. It is definitely simple 1960s American garage rock. I don't remember every the lyrics, but I remember something like "I met you Baby Jane", and the next line rhymed with it using the word 'insane'. It was pretty upbeat/aggressive. I remember being a little girl and listening to every of my dad's music in the car. Resolved Question: What is a good war theme/song?

I'm looking for something performed by an orchestra or just brass or something. Preferably big, deep/low brass, lots of Big drums, or just lots of drums. Resolved Question: Most overplayed songs on fm rock radio this week?

My list is:skillets hero which ulilizes a marketing trend of having a women sing in the tune so women will hear to it and men will think they are going to have sex with the women by listening to it.Its a horrible tune at best.Second most overplayed is nightmare by that emo pop punk band trying to pass themselves off as metal avenged sevenfold. And mudvaynes do what you do what you did to me retarded tune and 4th would be korns new tune ugghhh.Isnt that proof that fm rock radio is horrible?

Open Question: I know what I want in a guitar, but I haven't found that guitar yet. Do you know of a guitar with?

[I typically play metalcore, post hardcore, but also play pop rock, punk rock, ska, death metal, thrash, and indie rock.] 24 frets Ebony fretboard Active humbuckers, preferably active EMG's or Seymour Duncan Invaders [with potentially a single coil so that I can play clean, non metal songs] A double locking tremolo that allows dive bombing, preferably a Floyd Rose Original Preferably a guitar that isn't too heavy in weight. I found a Schecter Damien that I liked, but it was uncommonly heavy and uncomfortable, enough to make me cease considering it. A high radius, so shredding is easy and comfortable. A guitar that is reliable for gigs, and durability. I don't want a guitar that's muddy sounding, I want the harmonics to ring clear, and the distortion to have some real crunch. I play through a Line 6 Spider IV 120W 2x10 and will most likely be getting the Boss Metalcore Pedal and a killswitch that I've found is reliable and won't clip tone.

Resolved Question: .. I want to start a band, but I can't play any instruments THAT well.. Tips and Advice?

Ok.. so when I was younger my parents signed me up for piano lessons.. I just learned simple little songs but then we had to move so I didn't receive to take lessons anymore. Well now, with the help of youtube I've been learning songs by memory.. (I don't know how to read music for the piano really well.) In band I play the saxophone so I know that but if I do start a band it's gonna be more punk/rock. Anyways.. I've just now really discovered how much music impacts my life. Like when I hear to certain songs I receive butterflies in my stomach and I literally receive super excited and imagine myself in a band playing that tune.. sooo I've been inspired to start a band, but like the question says.. I can't really play guitar or the keyboard very well. It's summer right now so I don't really have any idea on who else could be in it except for one guy that plays bass. I know it seems nice of far fetched but any positive advice and help would be greatly appreciated.. just tips on how to receive started and maybe some websites that offer free lessons or help on playing either keyboard or guitar. Also.. which one should I focus on more? Keyboard or Guitar? Thank you so much! :)

Voting Question: Are Boys Like Girls, All Time Low, and We the Kings really selling out?

I think We the Kings is selling out the worst, because their new target is pre-teen girls who hear to Radio Disney (not looking down on them, just fanbases can ruin a band.) And this is a horrible change, I can't believe every Time Low could go from this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goucSsjP8… to THIS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xJdHkQkB… The first tune was about Alex's experience with a girl in Vegas, the second is about...I don't even know what it's about. It's just plain lyrics and a catchy tune to draw in more teenagers along with the band's good looks. I mean, I've been hoping their next albums would be more "punk" than "pop" but I've listened to ATL's studio updates, not impressed. And Boys Like Girls new album is gonna be more dance-rock than before, I'm very disappointed. So what do you think? Have they really sold out? I mean the only thing that keeps me calling myself a fan of those bands is the wish that their next album will be blow me away, but if they're just gonna go more and more mainstream, what's the point in "liking" them? I mean, the only legit reason to like a band is their music, and if that doesn't satisfy me, then I guess I'm not a fan, right? P.S. Selling out means changing the music style for the MONEY, RADIO AIRPLAY, and to gain more fans. It's obvious the the last two were the reasons those three bands changed their style. I guess every pop punk band sells out by their second or third album... except for Mayday Parade, they seem to be doing very well. BQ: Any bands like the old every Time Low? You know, they were generic but they had their unique touch to it... I wish to God Mayday Parade, Ivoryline, and Every Avenue do not sell out. Thanks. I'm going to wait though. Until their third (fourth for ATL) albums arrive out. If I don't like every Time Low's fourth album, that's it. Mayday Parade will be my new favorite band. Jasey Rae was about a forest flame: "Tell my voice what it takes, To talk up, talk up, and keep my conscience clean when I wake." He feels guilty about starting the flame. "I've never lit a match with intent to start a flame, but recently the flames are getting out of control." He didn't think it would be so bad. Like a hundred acres or something... And Jasey Rae was a squirrel. and what is their new tune Stella about?

Hi, well, I'm 11, and my mom asked what type of music would I like once, but, being the idiot person I am, I have decided to re-ask it from my newly created account, and add many more details. I adore Paramore, Skillet, Flyleaf, Daughtry, Three Days Grace, Bring me the Horizon, Ke$ha, and I like a few songs by Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Owl City, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cyrus (but I hate most disney crap). okay hear to a lot of music .. like everything pop, rock, punk, hip hop, post-grunge etc. some of the bands i hear to scream two or three times in a tune. people tell me they hate the band right away once they hear a scream.. serious? one scream?.. dont they realize that, thats not every they do.. they have a great voice when singing y do some people hate it ? does it scare them? lol ( i have to admit "some" bands r bad at it ) ppl im taking about bands that scream SOMETIMES like story of the year and breaking benjamin.. they scream like once.. in a tune not the whole way through.. screaming the whole waay is awful

Resolved Question: music video, of a punk rock looking guy in a therapy session with his girlfriend. sound familiar?

The female singer has red hair and the male singer has black hair the music video takes place in what looks to be a couples therapy session? It wasn't hip-hop, not sure about country or if it's like a punk-rock sound with a soft tone. it wasn't a quick pace tune and if I remember right it had an acoustic sound to it? The tune was really good, if you find a video that fits the description please let me know! The male singer looked kinda like david william faber, from faber steer. Resolved Question: What Album(s) Should I Get?

I have some money and I wanna receive an album. I'm really into like Alternative/Post-Grunge music, and I also like Punk. I like Avant-Garde rock too. And I HATE buying a single tune. It has to be the whole album. My fav 5 bands are: KoRn Alice In Chains Hurt Circa Survive Avenged Sevenfold I'm looking for music like that. I'm into some Post-Hardcore, like Emarosa and Chiodos, or Saosin. I want Rock bands. Not Metalcore bands. I like Metalcore, but I've got enough of it. Nu-Metal is good too, but no Godsmack or SlipKnot. I hate both of those bands. And, admittedly, I like Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. I also like Nirvana, Puddle Of Mudd, and bands like that. I like old school rock as well, like Guns N' Roses, and Pink Floyd, and Metallica (3 different kinds of old-school, I know) So help me out please.

Voting Question: How do i make my guitar do that screaching thing like alot of punk rock songs do.?

In blink182's tune alions exist after the first virs there is a guitar solow but before the power cords there is a screaching sounding nice of nois how do i do it it is really chilly.
